Job summary

The World Food Programme is seeking an IT Operations Officer (Digital Services) to contribute to the development of IT solutions that enable staff to deliver food assistance to beneficiaries. The role requires advanced IT education and at least 3 years of relevant experience within international environments, with fluency in English and Urdu.

The position is based in Pakistan across multiple locations, focusing on IT planning, deployment, and support to ensure continuity of essential services

Qualifications

• Advanced IT degree or related field required.
• 3 years of professional/managerial experience in information management and system development, preferably with an international organization.
• Fluency in English and Urdu, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of plans and budgets and manage IT/TC system deployments.
• Monitor and maintain IT/TC systems and networks with data security in mind.
• Prepare technical specifications and tender documents for IT equipment and services.
• Analyze data and prepare reports on IT/TC activities, investments and costs.
• Provide advice and guidance to managers and users on IT policies and solutions.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and develop training programs.

Education

Advanced University degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Development or relevant field.

First University degree with additional years of related work experience or trainings/courses in IT, Computer Science, Software Development or related functional area
