Job summary

Jobtailor in Islamabad is seeking an IT/TC systems specialist to lead development, deployment, and governance of IT solutions in line with corporate standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and deploy IT/TC systems aligned with business needs and standards.
• Monitor IT/TC systems and networks, ensure data security and user support.
• Prepare technical specs and tender docs for IT equipment and services.
• Analyse data for IT investments and cost-efficiency reports.
• Provide guidance to staff; design and deliver training programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Prepare continuity plans and emergency IT readiness.
• Capture and document business requirements for IT solutions.
• Ensure SLAs and conduct IT service quality surveys.
• Migrate and integrate data between IT systems including SCOPE/CFM.

Job description

• Contribute to development of plans and budgets and manage deployment of IT/TC systems aligned with business needs and WFP corporate standards
• Monitor and maintain IT/TC systems and networks, including data security, access controls, LAN/WAN issues, and user support
• Contribute to technical specifications and tender documents for procurement of IT/TC equipment, products, solutions, systems, and services
• Collate and analyse data for reports on IT/TC activities, investments, and costs, identifying cost-efficiency opportunities
• Maintain and develop technical expertise and understanding of industry developments
• Advise managers and users, resolve issues, and ensure correct application of IT policies, procedures, systems, and tools
• Guide and supervise junior staff and design training programs
• Collaborate with internal and external colleagues, user groups, and business counterparts to provide technical solutions and support
• Follow emergency preparedness and contingency planning practices and prepare operational plans for continuity of IT services
• Capture, analyse, and document business requirements for IT solutions and services
• Communicate business requirements, test and analyse IT solutions, and document quality and accuracy
• Manage IT service-level alignment with SLAs and conduct business satisfaction surveys
• Manage estimates, business cases, planning, risks, problems, and issues for IT solution delivery in collaboration with Regional Office and HQs
• Develop and deploy IT systems in compliance with WFP IT policies and information management strategy
• Write technical specifications and maintain technical documentation
• Install, configure, customize, integrate, and migrate data between IT systems, including SCOPE and CFM (Sugar CRM)
• Perform other tasks and additional responsibilities as required by the supervisor

Requirements

• Pakistan Nationals Only
• Advanced University degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Development or relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience or trainings/courses in IT, Computer Science, Software Development or related functional area is desirable
• 3 years of professional/managerial experience in Information Management and System Development, preferably with an International Organization, Government, or UN system
• Experience assisting in the design and development of systems and applications needed to fulfil business requirements
• Experience utilizing specialized knowledge to resolve issues arising during IT support
• Experience contributing to IT projects by providing analysis of business requirements
• Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Urdu
