Job summary

FlowHCM is seeking a Business Analyst in Karachi to analyze and document business requirements, write BRDs, SRSs and user stories, and map current and future processes. The role involves collaborating with developers and QA through design, development and rollout, and supporting UAT with test scenarios and defect tracking.

You will manage the project backlog with stakeholders, perform gap analyses, and prepare dashboards and reports to support decisions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT/software environment.
• Experience writing BRDs, SRSs, FRDs, user stories and use cases.
• Good understanding of SDLC, software development, databases, APIs and software testing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business requirements via interviews, workshops and observation.
• Create BRDs, functional specs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Map current and future business processes using flowcharts.
• Translate requirements into functional specs for developers and QA.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, QA and end users through design, development, testing and rollout.
• Support UAT by preparing test scenarios and coordinating feedback and defects.
• Manage projects and programs portfolio in Excel or tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Perform gap and impact analyses, assess new software requirements and change requests.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and data analyses for decision making.
• Prepare user documentation and assist training and go-live activities.
