Job description

• Identify and monitor infections that may pose a health concern to patients, staff, students, and the public and recommend actions to manage and prevent them.
• Effectively collaborate with all departments to plan and execute infection control actions.
• Implement the International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) to ensure patient safety.
• Identify and monitor specific infections, conduct targeted surveillance, and investigate outbreaks as directed by the Infection Control Committee.
• Make rounds of hospital units for monitoring of infection control practice and patient care issues.
• Educate departments and individuals on infection control practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BScN/Post RN BScN / BS Microbiology, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related health sciences field with 1–2 years of relevant experience in Infection Prevention & Control in a healthcare setting.
• Should have anunderstanding of infection prevention practices, healthcare-associated infections, and infectious diseases.
• Candidates holding a diploma or certificate in Infection Control will be given preference.
• For nursing candidates, valid registration with PNC is mandatory.
