Job summary

NextGENi in Karachi (Hybrid) is seeking a Head of Quality Assurance to lead and scale the QA function across multiple engineering teams. You will define the quality strategy, drive automation initiatives, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC to deliver reliable software.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years in QA, proven team leadership, hands-on testing across manual and automation, API, regression and performance testing, and strong communication with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Proven experience leading QA teams of 8+ engineers.
• Strong hands-on experience with manual testing and test automation.
• Expertise in API, regression and performance testing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the QA function across multiple engineering teams.
• Define and execute the overall QA strategy, standards and best practices.
• Drive test automation initiatives to improve quality and release efficiency.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing QA team.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Delivery to embed quality.
• Communicate quality objectives and delivery progress to clients and stakeholders.
• Track quality metrics, identify risks, and implement process improvements.
• Evaluate and adopt modern QA tools and methodologies.
