Job summary

The ideal candidate will perform manual and automated testing, create test plans, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues, leveraging Selenium/JUnit/TestNG. Knowledge of SDLC and programming in Java or Python is preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

A well-established technology company in Karachi is seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through thorough testing and analysis. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1300$ per month and includes accommodation for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Conducting manual and automated tests on software products to ensure functionality, usability and performance
• Identifying, documenting and reporting bugs and issues found during testing
• Collaborating with developers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues
• Creating test plans, test cases and other documentation related to quality assurance processes
• Participating in code reviews to ensure quality standards are met
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies
• Experience with manual and automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit or TestNG
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python is preferred
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications
