Job summary

NextGENi is seeking an experienced Head of Quality Assurance to lead and scale the QA function across multiple engineering teams. You will define the organization’s quality strategy, drive automation initiatives, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.

You will work with Engineering, Product, and customer stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in modern quality engineering and proven experience leading QA teams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10–12 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience leading QA teams of 8+ engineers.
• Hands-on with manual testing and test automation frameworks.
• Expertise in manual, automation, API, regression, and performance testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the QA function across multiple engineering teams.
• Define and execute the overall QA strategy, standards and best practices.
• Drive test automation initiatives to improve software quality, test coverage and release efficiency.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing QA team, fostering continuous improvement.

• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to communicate quality objectives and progress.
• Establish and track quality metrics, identify risks and implement process improvements.
• Evaluate and adopt modern QA tools, frameworks and methodologies.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Head of Quality Assurance to lead and scale the QA function across multiple engineering teams. In this role, you will define the organization’s quality strategy, drive automation initiatives, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. Working closely with Engineering, Product, and customer stakeholders, you will deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in modern quality engineering, proven experience leading QA teams, and the communication skills to effectively manage both internal and client-facing engagements while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and scale the Quality Assurance function across multiple engineering teams.
• Define and execute the overall QA strategy, standards and best practices.
• Drive test automation initiatives to improve software quality, test coverage and release efficiency.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product and Delivery teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to communicate quality objectives, project progress and delivery expectations.
• Establish and track quality metrics, identify risks and implement process improvements to enhance product quality.
• Evaluate and adopt modern QA tools, frameworks and methodologies to continuously improve testing capabilities.

Key Requirements :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (ISTQB or other QA certifications are a plus).
• 10-12 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring QA teams of 8 engineers or more.
• Strong hands-on experience with manual testing, test automation frameworks, and modern quality engineering practices.
• Expertise in manual, automation, API, regression, performance testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with AI-powered development and testing tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to enhance QA processes and engineering productivity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage directly with clients.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
