Job summary

Hire Fellows is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer to own an existing multi-sided platform. You will troubleshoot, optimize, and decide between rebuilds or refinements, spanning backend and frontend with a focus on authentication, real-time data, and integrations.

Collaborate with the founder to ensure reliable end-to-end customer, driver, retailer, and admin experiences. You will work across customer apps and internal dashboards, review the Lovable-based stack, and drive practical

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack development with strong backend focus.
• Hands-on experience with Lovable or similar AI-assisted development platforms.
• Strong experience using Supabase or similar backend, database and auth platforms.
• Comfortable with GitHub and existing codebases.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, improve and complete existing apps.
• Solid understanding of authentication, user profiles, databases, APIs and dashboards.
• Experience with real-time data, syncing, notifications or live functionality.
• Experience across multiple user interfaces or role-based platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and quick understanding of existing setups.
• Ability to decide when to fix/optimize vs rebuild.
• Ability to work independently with ownership and focus.
• Strong communication to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to operate in an early-stage founder-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of the existing application and assess what needs to be fixed, improved, optimized, or rebuilt.
• Troubleshoot and improve backend functionality, focusing on authentication, profiles, databases, orders, and real-time syncing.
• Work across customer app, driver app, retailer dashboard, and admin dashboard.
• Review Lovable-built app and identify areas for rebuilding or restructuring.
• Build, maintain, and optimize backend via Supabase and related technologies.
• Manage code hosted on GitHub with a clean development setup.
• Ensure data flows across customer, driver, retailer, and admin users.
• Troubleshoot authentication, sign-in, profiles, dashboards, orders, and real-time updates.
• Ensure end-to-end order and operations flows work for all user types.
• Collaborate on booking, calendar-based and workflow-driven functionality as needed.
• Identify technical issues early and recommend scalable, reliable solutions.
• Test thoroughly and resolve bugs before launch.
• Document product setup, technical decisions and key workflows clearly.
• Explain technical decisions to a non-technical founder.
• Work independently and manage technical priorities with minimal supervision.
• Ensure smooth handover if new developers join.
