Job summary

Gatronova is seeking an experienced Purchase Executive to support procurement for its two-wheeler electric vehicle business. You will source materials, coordinate with suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure timely availability while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key tasks include generating PRs/POs, planning procurement, tracking orders, and maintaining supplier relationships. A background in automotive procurement with SAP experience and a related degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce, or a relevant discipline.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably within automotive, motorcycle, EV or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, sourcing, quotations, purchase orders, and material planning.
• Hands-on experience in PR/PO processing, vendor coordination, order tracking, GRNs, and inventory/material availability.
• Knowledge of BOM, item codes, material specifications and SAP procurement processes will be an advantage.
• Experience in procurement of automotive/two-wheeler parts, components, batteries, accessories, and other materials will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate and process Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in the system in line with approved requirements and procurement procedures.
• Plan and coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely availability of parts, components, and materials for two-wheeler operations.
• Coordinate with vendors on quotations, order placement, delivery schedules, order status, and other procurement-related matters.
• Liaise with Head Office and stakeholders to ensure Goods Receipt Notes are processed accurately and completed on time.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve pending PRs, POs, GRNs, deliveries, and other procurement issues.
• Monitor and track daily procurement orders, ensuring timely processing, follow-up, and closure of outstanding requirements.
• Prepare and share daily procurement status reports covering material availability, open orders, pending requirements, vendor updates, and other key procurement activities.
• Coordinate creation of new item codes and monitor changes or modifications in the BOM ensuring updates are communicated to stakeholders.
• Maintain coordination with Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, Production to ensure smooth material availability.
