Job summary

Sui Southern Gas Company Limited seeks an engineering graduate to assist senior management in monitoring day-to-day meter field service activities and to support intelligence and operations during counter gas theft cases.

The role includes cyber lock maintenance, technical audits, inspections under OGRA policy, MIS and ERP data handling, and ensuring timely service for subscriptions while addressing non-payments and empty premises. PEC registration is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist intelligence and technical teams in providing technical leads and carrying out technical audits.
• Assist in inspections and witnessing of meter and regulator testing as per OGRA policy.
• Assist intelligence and technical teams in providing technical leads and carrying out technical audits.
• Assist in inspections and witnessing of meter and regulator testing as per OGRA policy.
• Support inspection of meters and connections to determine defects, faults, and damages and determine if any unauthorized connections are evident, and take immediate action to report.
• Verify readings to determine if any abnormal functions or fluctuations are evident.
• Ensure that abnormalities are investigated and cyber locks are working properly.
• Communicate problems with meters or incorrect readings to Section Head and assist in managing MIS (Management Information System) regarding gas theft.
• Assist in analyzing industrial and commercial customers’ trend analysis and identify gas theft data analyses.
• Assist in maintaining record of gas theft evidences and post it on the ERP system for historical analysis.
• Report maintenance and equipment problems and ensure their resolution on a prompt basis.
• Raise alerts to ensure that services are timely switched on for new subscriptions and switched off in cases of non-payment or empty premises.
• Ensure that data in the utility log book is maintained correctly and kept up-to-date.
• The individual shall ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework enforced in the Company while performing job responsibilities in accordance with his assigned role.
• The individual shall ensure compliance to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
• Undertake any other task assigned by the management.
