Job summary

SSGC LPG Limited in Karachi is seeking an Engineering Graduate (Mechanical / Petroleum / Chemical) registered with PEC, with at least two years of relevant experience.

You will assist the Unit Head in ensuring gas dispatch operations, monitor transmission, conduct CRM activities, and prepare reports while supporting budget preparation to ensure safe, compliant system operation.

Qualifications

• HEC-recognized university degree in Mechanical / Petroleum / Chemical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of the daily operational plan for execution and maintenance of gas system and LHF.
• Confer with seniors on adequacy of pipeline targets as per operational limitations and conduct CRM activities as per instructions.
• Obtain parameters of transmission network and calculate line pack transmission and prepare its report regarding sales and purchase on daily basis.
• Confer with seniors on daily supply strategy including line pack, targets and system pressure requirements keeping in view gas pressure and volume in pipelines according to forecast and demand.
• Maintain gas control system data sheet on daily basis, monitor the system for gas balance between sale & purchase and generate daily demand forecast in total and for selected region.
• Monitor the transmission system pressures of different PODs, SMSs and HQ compressors.
• Monitor all gas pipelines and collect hourly data of flow, pressure & temperature & supply of LNG to SNGPL and support safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor gas delivery commitment as per GSA contract and communicate data collected to reporting head.
• Specifies and procures materials and equipment, coordinates in-house and contract labor to install and test new installations in a timely fashion with input from vendors.
• Ensure timely bound volume verification of gas invoice and maintain data related to gas invoice after verification.
• Provide technical support in preparation of budget & allocations.
• Support implement Gas System Emergency Operating Plans when required, maintain and generate daily and monthly reports and maintain clean & safe work environment.
• Comply with the risk management framework.
• Participate actively in risk management activities across the organization.
• Ensure that key risks are identified, reported, recorded and managed in a timely manner.
• Receive appropriate training in risk management.
• Perform any other task assigned by senior management.
