Sridevi Associates in Hyderabad (Office) is seeking an Accounts & Finance Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager with strong e-commerce settlement experience.

You will oversee marketplace settlement reconciliation, claims handling, and returns accounting, ensuring accuracy and timely closures. The role requires 3–8 years of experience with at least 2 years in e-commerce marketplace accounting; CA Inter/MBA Finance preferred.

Responsabilités

• Reconcile marketplace settlement reports weekly/bi-weekly against internal records.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Settlement Reconciliation Core Function

• Download, process, and reconcile marketplace settlement reports on a weekly / fortnightly basis; match every line item (order revenue, return deductions, commission, logistics fees, GST components) against internal order records
• Identify and flag discrepancies; raise disputes with marketplace finance teams for recovery; ensure 100% of settlements reconciled within 7 days; maintain a reconciliation tracker with itemised deductions and variance explanation
• Track payment receipt dates against settlement cycles (bi-weekly, weekly, or monthly) and flag delays

Claims Management

• Identify all claimable amounts: short-paid orders, damaged-in-transit stock, lost warehouse inventory, SAFE-T fund eligibility
• File and track claims; maintain a claims register (platform, type, amount claimed, status, amount recovered); raise and track SPF / Seller Protection Fund claims; follow up weekly; escalated unresolved claims to marketplace account manager after 30 days; report monthly recovery rate to Business Head

Returns & Refunds Accounting

• Record all customer returns (RTO, RVP) in books on receipt; match against original order revenue and settlement deduction
• Reconcile marketplace-issued refunds against SDA's return records; flag refunds issued without a corresponding product return (double-refund recovery)
• Track and account for RTV (Return to Vendor): match against brand credit notes received; maintain a monthly returns P&L covering total returns received, resaleable returns, damaged write-offs, RTV quantity and value

Vendor Payables, P&L & Inventory

• Process and verify brand purchase invoices against POs;
• Maintain vendor ledger for Brand and reconcile monthly against brand's statement
• Track credit utilisation and ensure payments on due dates; account for all credit / debit notes
• Prepare monthly P&L (platform-wise and consolidated); track actuals vs. budget with variance commentary
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation (inward at WSP, write-downs for damage, COGS on dispatch)
• Conduct monthly three-way reconciliation: physical count vs. OMS vs. financial books
• Track ageing (90 / 120 / 180 days) and flag for RTV or markdown

Cash Flow, GST & ERP

• Monitor daily cash position; prepare weekly cash flow forecast: expected settlements, brand payables, OPEX commitments;
• Flag any working capital stress, situations where settlement delays or high returns could affect ability to pay Timex on due dates; monitor and report Cost of Capital monthly
• Manage GST TCS deducted by marketplaces; ensure e-way bill compliance for stock movements
• Maintain Tally Prime (or equivalent ERP) with all transactions entered within 2 working days
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statement and resolve all open items within the same month
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit: prepare audit schedules, confirmations, and supporting documentation
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and settlement reports for audit and GST purposes

What We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or CA Inter / CMA Inter; qualified CA is a strong advantage
• 35 years in accounts / finance with at least 2 years in e-commerce marketplace accounting

Mandatory

Hands-on marketplace settlement reconciliation experience is required. Candidates without this will not be shortlisted.

Skills Must Have

• Marketplace settlement reconciliation; claims management (SAFE-T, SPF): raised, tracked, and recovered; returns and refunds accounting (RTO, RVP, RTV) correctly recorded and reconciled
• P&L preparation for e-commerce (GMV PBT); inventory accounting and control (physical count reconciliation, FIFO, ageing)
• GST compliance: TCS treatment for marketplace receipts
• Tally Prime or equivalent ERP: daily bookkeeping, ledger management, bank reconciliation
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, large dataset reconciliation

Skills Good to Have

• Experience with OMS / inventory tools (Increff, Unicommerce etc) and extracting financial data from them
• Cash flow forecasting and working capital management in an e-commerce business
• Experience dealing with marketplace finance support teams for payment disputes and settlement escalations
• Knowledge of e-commerce accounting entries: deferred revenue, marketplace TCS, FBA fee treatment

• Detail obsessed: a Rs. 100 discrepancy in a settlement report must be investigated and resolved, not rounded off
• Ownership mentality: owns reconciliation end to end; does not wait to be asked for a status update
• Deadline driven: monthly GST filings, settlement reconciliations, and payment due dates are non-negotiable
• Strong communicator: able to raise disputes with marketplace finance teams in writing and follow up
• Comfortable with ambiguity: e-commerce finance has complexities (split settlements, partial refunds, clawbacks) that require judgement, not just formula application
