Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

To coordinate the procurement, sourcing, delivery, and availability of materials required for construction, renovation, maintenance, and other hospital projects, ensuring timely supply, cost efficiency, and compliance with approved procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with project teams to identify and fulfill material requirements according to project specifications and timelines.
• Process purchase requisitions and obtain quotations from approved suppliers.
• Prepare comparative statements and coordinate purchase orders in accordance with procurement procedures.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of project materials.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Procurement, and Stores teams to avoid material shortages and project delays.
• Coordinate the inspection and verification of delivered materials against purchase orders and specifications.
• Track pending orders, material consumption, and outstanding deliveries.
• Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize material purchasing.
• Report discrepancies, delays, and quality issues to the relevant departments.
• Prepare regular reports on material availability, pending orders, deliveries, and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with approved procurement policies, documentation standards, and authorization procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

• Understanding of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, and inventory control.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and project material management.
• Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple material requirements and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a relevant field.
• Working Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or material coordination, preferably in construction, engineering, or hospital projects.
