Job summary

DR.ZIAUDDIN HOSPITAL in Karachi is seeking a Warehouse In-Charge to oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, inventory control, and record maintenance of hospital supplies.

The role focuses on FIFO/FEFO, accurate stock registers, ERP-based inventory management, safety, and coordinating with Procurement and other departments to ensure timely deliveries. Onsite, full-time position with opportunity to lead a small team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials according to procedures.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and easy identification of inventory.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
• Handle and store medical, non-medical, and hospital supplies properly.
• Apply FIFO/FEFO principles to minimize expiry and wastage.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and space utilization.
• Maintain accurate stock registers and ERP inventory records.
• Coordinate with Procurement and other departments on stock availability and delivery schedules.
• Supervise warehouse staff and allocate daily tasks.
• Ensure compliance with policies, inventory procedures, and safety standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide documentation.

JOB SUMMARY

To oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, inventory control, and record maintenance, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of hospital supplies and materials.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials according to approved procedures.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of inventory for easy identification and retrieval.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment to avoid shortages.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of medical, non-medical, and other hospital supplies.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO principles, where applicable, to minimize expiry and wastage.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper utilization of warehouse space.
• Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records in the ERP/ inventory management system.
• Coordinate with Procurement and relevant departments regarding stock availability and delivery schedules.
• Supervise warehouse staff and allocate daily tasks.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, inventory procedures, and safety standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required documentation.

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

• Understanding of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, and inventory control.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple material requirements and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Working Experience: 3-5 years of relevant warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare organization..
