Job summary

FlowHCM in Lahore, Pakistan seeks an educator to lead SGDs, tutorials, and PBL in General & Special Pathology and Microbiology. The role includes conducting practical labs (Histopathology/Cytology, urine analysis, hematology, blood grouping) and demonstrating specimen examinations.

You will also teach biosafety and aseptic techniques, set up and grade OSPEs and viva voce, maintain lab equipment, and support senior faculty with rosters and reports for audits.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate SGDs, tutorials, and PBL sessions in General & Special Pathology and Microbiology.
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions, including slide identification Histopathology/Cytology, urine analysis, hematology procedures, and blood grouping.
• Demonstrate specimen examination and gross pathology features using preserved specimens.
• Assist in teaching clinical pathology protocols, biosafety practices, aseptic techniques, culture streakings, and peripheral blood smear preparation.
• Set up, invigilate, and grade OSPE, viva voce, and routine class tests.
• Maintain laboratory equipment (microscopes, centrifuges, analyzers, staining setups) and inventory of chemicals/reagents.
• Keep student logbooks, practical workbooks, and attendance records updated for assessments and PMDC audits.
• Assist senior faculty in preparing academic rosters, module plans, and diagnostic lab reports when attached to teaching hospitals.

Job description

Facilitate small-group discussions SGDs, tutorials, and problem-based learning PBL sessions in General & Special Pathology and Microbiology.

Conduct practical laboratory sessions, including slide identification Histopathology/Cytology, urine detailed analysis, hematology procedures, and blood grouping.

Demonstrate specimen examination and gross pathology features using preserved museum specimens and pots.

Assist in teaching clinical pathology protocols, such as biosafety practices, aseptic techniques, culture streakings, and peripheral blood smear preparation.

Set up, invigilate, and grade Objective Structured Practical Examinations OSPE, viva voce, and routine class tests.

Maintain laboratory equipment microscopes, centrifuges, automated analyzers, staining setups and ensure chemical/reagent inventory control.

Keep student logbooks, practical workbooks, and attendance records updated for internal assessments and PMDC audit compliance.

Assist senior faculty Professors, Associate/Assistant Professors in preparing academic rosters, module plans, and diagnostic laboratory reports if attached to a teaching hospital.
