Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of hospital laboratory experience.
• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) required.
• Familiar with biosafety, infection control, and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sample collection & handling: Collect, label, and process patient samples accurately.
• Laboratory testing & analysis: Perform routine diagnostic tests following SOPs.
• Equipment operation & maintenance: Operate laboratory instruments and ensure proper functioning.
• Quality control procedures: Perform internal quality checks to ensure result accuracy.
• Result reporting: Prepare and submit test results within defined timelines.
• Documentation & record keeping: Maintain accurate lab records and logs.
• Infection control & biosafety: Follow biosafety standards and infection control protocols.
• Inventory management: Monitor reagents and consumables.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor technical issues.
• Coordination with clinicians: Communicate test results and clarifications.
• Audit & compliance support: Assist in lab audits and inspections.
• General responsibility: Any other task assigned by the management.
