Job summary

Ziauddin University in Sukkur invites applications for a teaching and clinical lead role in the Department of [Specialty]. Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, fully recognized and registered with the PMDC.
• PMDC Level III qualification in the respective subject e.g., FCPS/MS/MD, OR other equivalent Level III qualification in the specialty approved by SRC and recognized/registered by PMDC.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent specialist clinical care and take overall responsibility for patient management in the relevant specialty.
• Supervise Senior Registrars and Registrars in clinical decision-making, procedures and patient safety.
• Lead specialty clinics, ward rounds and on-call/emergency coverage as per roster.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based clinical protocols and quality standards.
• Deliver lectures, clinical demonstrations, tutorials and bedside teaching to undergraduate MBBS/BDS students.
• Supervise postgraduate trainees Registrars/Senior Registrars in clinical and academic training.
• Participate in faculty development programmes and educational innovation.
• Set and evaluate internal assessments; may serve as examiner.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental teaching schedules.
• Conduct, supervise and publish original research in PMDC/HEC-recognized indexed journals.
• Supervise undergraduate/postgraduate research projects, theses and dissertations.
• Participate in departmental research initiatives, journal clubs and continuing medical education CME activities.
• Maintain accurate academic and clinical records in line with PMDC certification requirements.
• Participate in student mentoring and academic advising.
• Participate in departmental committees, accreditation preparation and quality-assurance processes.
• Support the Head of Department in academic planning, scheduling and resource management.
• Maintain mandatory Continuing Professional Development CPD requirements as prescribed by PMDC.
