Job summary

ValueMomentum seeks an experienced data quality professional to lead data testing and validation for P&C insurance software solutions. You will validate data accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation across systems and ETL/ELT pipelines, collaborating with development and data engineering teams to fix data quality issues.

The role involves hands-on data testing, test plan design, and automation development using SQL and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 8–10 years of Software Quality Assurance focusing on data testing.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience leading a Data QA team in Agile environments.
• P&C insurance domain knowledge including Policy, Claims, and Billing.
• Experience testing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with data quality and data engineering platforms such as Informatica.
• Experience validating BI/reporting layers (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik/Cognos).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data testing strategies to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data in P&C insurance software solutions.
• Perform comprehensive data validation to identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues across systems.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and scenarios covering data completeness, correctness, consistency, and reconciliation.
• Execute manual and automated data testing in line with QA standards.
• Analyze source-to-target mappings and perform end-to-end source-system data verification.
• Validate data transformations, aggregations, calculations, and business rules within ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Identify data anomalies and lead root-cause analysis with developers and data engineers.
• Participate in data migration and reconciliation testing across legacy and modern platforms.
• Develop and maintain automated data validation scripts using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
• Implement automated data quality checks to detect issues early and improve testing efficiency.
• Test ETL processes to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading across pipeline stages.
• Perform regression testing to ensure data changes do not impact existing workflows.
• Collaborate with development and data engineering teams to track and resolve defects.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and testing best practices.
