Job summary

ValueMomentum, Inc. is seeking an ETL QA Architect to lead testing of large-scale data pipelines and data quality validation.

You will validate data movement between source and target systems, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and troubleshoot data quality issues with SQL-driven validation using Spark, Hive and Snowflake. The role focuses on developing test plans, automation, and collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions for P&C insurance

Qualifications

• Total 6+ years of ETL testing experience.
• Strong SQL skills and data movement validation across source/target systems.
• Experience with Spark, Hive and Snowflake data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Work on large datasets and perform ETL testing with thorough validation between source and target systems.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate data accuracy, completeness and integrity.
• Perform functional, integration, regression and performance testing of data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Identify and investigate data anomalies, inconsistencies, and discrepancies; troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data architects, business analysts and stakeholders to ensure data quality standards.
• Document test plans, test results and data quality issues; communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Recommend and implement improvements to data quality processes, tools and methodologies.
• Automate data validation and testing processes where possible to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate is expected to work on large datasets and perform ETL testing, including thorough validation between source and target systems.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of data pipelines, ETL processes, and databases.
• Identify and investigate data anomalies, inconsistencies, and discrepancies; troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality standards are met.
• Document test plans, test results, and data quality issues, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Recommend and implement improvements to data quality processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Automate data validation and testing processes where possible to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of total technical experience in ETL testing.
• Experience developing ETL test plans and test cases and validating large-scale data migrations.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, SQL, Spark, Hive, and data migration.
• Advanced SQL query-writing skills and hands‑on experience with Hive, Spark, Spark SQL, and the DataFrame API.
• Experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
• Experience with data quality automation tools and frameworks.
• Ability to document and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Good To Have:

• Exposure to additional ETL testing and data quality automation tools beyond the core SQL, Spark, Hive, and Snowflake stack.
