Job summary

Huawei is seeking an experienced CS Core Planning Engineer based in Islamabad to excel in CS core network planning, capacity analysis, network design, optimization, and project support integration.

You will monitor utilization, forecast growth, coordinate with vendors, and drive deployment improvements while maintaining safety and quality standards. A Bachelor's in Engineering and 3–5 years CS core experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• 3–5 years in the CS/core network domain.
• Familiarity with basic communication and data communication knowledge.
• Expert knowledge of CS core call flows per 3GPP/GSMA/IEEE/ETSI.
• Strong troubleshooting using tracing tools such as Wireshark.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CS core network utilization, growth trends, traffic forecasting and capacity analysis.
• Understand end-to-end HLD/LLD for CS core products (MSC, STPs, SVC & HLR).
• Recommend network optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to evaluate proposals and select optimal solutions.
• Define operational standards and drive improvements in deployment and monitoring.
• Take responsibility for network safety and for project integration and onboarding.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor network utilization, growth trends, traffic forecasting, and capacity analysis across CS core network elements.
• Understand end-to-end HLD and LLD for CS core products (MSC, STPs, SVC & HLR).
• Recommend network optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate with telecom vendors (Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, Ericsson), contractors, and internal departments to evaluate vendor proposals and recommend optimal technical solutions.
• Define operational standards, review engineering packages, and drive improvements in network deployment and monitoring.
• Take responsibility for network safety.
• Support project integration, commissioning, implementation, and new nodes acceptance, with willingness to learn and grow.

Skill Requirements:

• Familiarity with basic communication and data communication knowledge.
• Expert knowledge of CS core call flows and scenarios as per 3GPP, GSMA, IEEE, and ETSI standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using internal/external tracing tools, Wireshark, etc.
• Expert knowledge of CS nodes (VMSC, GMSC, SBC, OSS, HSS) and protocols (SCCP, BSSAP, RANAP, SS7/SIGTRAN/M3UA/MTP3).
• Strong customer requirement analysis, management, and technical problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication with technical customers (mid-level) regarding technical solutions, project plans, and progress.
• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience Required: 3–5 years in the core network field, especially in the CS domain.
