Job summary

Cybernet, a Lakson Group company, seeks a Network Engineer to manage and maintain our enterprise network. You will configure Cisco, Juniper and Huawei devices, support BGP/OSPF routing, and ensure robust LAN/WAN operations.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years of experience, familiarity with MPLS, and a degree in CS/IT/Telecommunication. ISP background is preferred; on-site role in Lahore, Pakistan.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in network engineering or related field.
• CCNP / Cisco certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, BGP, OSPF, LAN, WAN.
• ISP background preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IT/Telecom.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on in managing/configuring Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei L2 & L3 devices.
• Configure/managing routing protocols like BGP and OSPF; perform switching tasks.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network routers/switches.
• Respond to outages quickly and propose performance improvements.
• Support ongoing WAN and LAN infrastructure maintenance.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Network Engineer who will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's network systems. The role includes configuring and troubleshooting network devices (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei), setting up and supporting routing protocols like BGP and OSPF, and ensuring smooth day-to-day network operations. You will monitor network performance, respond quickly to outages, and help improve overall stability and efficiency. The candidate should be comfortable working with both LAN and WAN environments and be proactive in solving technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Hands on in Managing/Configuring Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei L2 & L3 devices.
• Configuring/managing Routing Protocols like BGP, OSPF and Switching i.e., Dot1q, Ether Channel, STP
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Network Routers/Switches. Respond promptly during outages and recommend solutions for performance issues.
• Managing/Configuring Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei L2 & L3 devices.
• Participates in the ongoing support and maintenance of existing WAN and LAN infrastructure.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in relevant field.
• CCNP / CISCO or equivalent (certified) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, BGP, OSPF, LAN, WAN.
• Background in ISP will be preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Telecommunication Engineering.
