Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a leader to define and deliver the country technology strategy, infrastructure, service management, and production engineering capabilities across Pakistan. You will partner with country and business leadership to translate priorities into roadmaps and investments, while coordinating Group Technology support and ensuring regulatory and operational resilience.

You will oversee governance, risk, regulatory and audit requirements, and build a strong talent culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technology related discipline.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
• Relevant professional or tertiary qualifications and role-relevant certifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Translate business strategies into technology roadmaps, capacity plans, and investment initiatives.
• Develop and lead the country technology strategy, acting as the primary technology partner to business and country leadership.
• Lead the delivery of technology projects, system implementations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
• Drive innovation, digitization, and process simplification by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, improve client experience, and support business growth.
• Manage the country technology budget, monitor financial performance, and prioritize investments and service improvement initiatives to maximize value.
• Ensure the delivery of resilient, secure, and high-performing technology infrastructure, service management, and production engineering capabilities, meeting service levels.
• Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes, including root cause analysis and governance of production changes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technology, cybersecurity, and operational risks while ensuring compliance with risk frameworks and audits.
• Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance activities and maintain relations with regulators and external auditors.
• Provide leadership to the Country Technology function and manage stakeholder relationships with business, risk, finance, sourcing, and teams.
