Job summary

Raast Payments Pakistan Pvt. Ltd., based in Karachi, seeks a Chief Technology Officer to define and execute the tech vision, lead enterprise architecture, product design, development, QA, automation and partnerships for resilient, customer‑centric digital payments.

The CTO will drive IT strategy, vendor management and 24x7 operations while ensuring regulatory alignment with SBP, and will oversee architecture, security and scalable cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Education: 16 years (Bachelors/Masters) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration or related discipline from HEC-recognized institutions or reputable foreign university.
• Age maximum 56 years as on date of advertisement.
• Experience: minimum 12 years of progressive technology experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership within financial services, fintech or digital payments.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategic and operational planning to support business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Drive new product and feature development by translating business needs into secure, scalable tech solutions.
• Establish and govern enterprise architecture for interoperability, high availability, and future scalability.
• Oversee QA frameworks, testing strategies, and release management for reliability and compliance.
• Define and implement infrastructure and cloud strategy with capacity planning and cost‑effective scaling.
• Drive CI/CD, DevOps practices, and sandbox environments to support rapid innovation.
• Develop and maintain technical standards and SBP-aligned documentation for internal and ecosystem teams.
• Oversee vendor selection, contracts, and performance against SLAs and regulatory expectations.
• Provide governance of IT operations to ensure 24x7 availability and incident readiness.
