Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our operations team. This mid-level position requires a professional with 3-5 years of proven experience in business analysis, operations management, and process optimization. The Business Analyst will serve as a critical liaison between business operations, sales, and technical teams, with primary responsibilities in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) management, documentation, distribution channel coordination, and internal coordination. The role also includes secondary responsibilities in supporting sales and operations initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
The following are core responsibilities that constitute the primary focus of this role:
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Management
- Manage relationships with OEM partners including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP, Dell, Microsoft, and other technology vendors
- Coordinate OEM partnership agreements, contracts, and licensing arrangements
- Maintain OEM partner portals, registrations, and account management
- Track OEM certification requirements, training programs, and partner tier levels
- Manage OEM deal registrations, special pricing requests, and partner incentive programs
- Coordinate with OEM representatives for technical support, product information, and partner resources
- Monitor OEM compliance requirements and ensure adherence to partner program guidelines
- Track product availability, pricing updates, and end-of-life notifications from OEM partners
Documentation Management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive business process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow diagrams
- Create and update technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials for internal systems and processes
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, and system configurations
- Maintain a centralized repository of all business documentation with proper version control
- Prepare management reports, executive summaries, and presentation materials
- Document OEM partner agreements, contracts, and compliance requirements
- Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and quality guidelines
- Manage and optimize distribution channels for products and services delivery
- Coordinate with vendors, distributors, and OEM partners to ensure efficient product flow
- Monitor channel performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain distributor and vendor database with contracts, agreements, and performance SLAs
- Analyze distribution costs and recommend cost-optimization strategies
- Resolve channel conflicts and coordination issues between multiple distribution partners
- Coordinate product procurement from OEM partners through authorized distributors
- Develop and implement channel expansion strategies aligned with business goals
Internal Coordination & Process Management
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between departments including Sales, Operations, Finance, Technical, and HR teams
- Organize and lead internal coordination meetings, project kick-offs, and review sessions
- Act as liaison between management and operational teams to ensure alignment of objectives
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones across different departments
- Identify bottlenecks and process inefficiencies through data analysis and stakeholder feedback
- Implement process improvements and change management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Maintain internal communication channels and ensure timely information flow across teams
Secondary Responsibilities
The following responsibilities provide support to primary functions:
- Support the sales team with data analysis, sales reports, and performance metrics
- Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and presentations in coordination with OEM pricing
- Analyze sales pipeline, conversion rates, and identify trends to support sales strategy
- Coordinate with sales team to ensure accurate and timely order processing
- Assist in customer onboarding processes and ensure smooth handover from sales to operations
- Coordinate OEM deal registrations and special pricing requests for sales opportunities
- Track sales targets and provide regular performance updates to management
Operations Support
- Assist in daily operational activities including inventory management, order fulfillment, and resource allocation
- Monitor operational metrics and provide insights for performance improvement
- Support procurement processes by tracking purchase orders, vendor performance, and inventory levels
- Coordinate with operations team to ensure project deliveries meet quality standards and timelines
- Assist in capacity planning and resource optimization initiatives
- Support operational audits, compliance checks, and quality assurance processes
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Sciences or related field
- MBA or Master's degree is a plus
Experience
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, or similar role
- Experience in OEM partner management, vendor coordination, or technology distribution
- Demonstrated experience in process documentation, business analysis, and requirements gathering
- Experience in managing distribution channels or supply chain operations
- Track record of successfully coordinating cross-functional projects and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMP, Six Sigma, or similar certifications
- Industry Experience: Experience in technology services, IT distribution, VAR/reseller operations, or consulting industry
- OEM Knowledge: Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP, Dell, Microsoft, or other major technology OEM partner programs
- Technical Background: Basic understanding of networking, security, or IT infrastructure products
- ERP Experience: Experience with ERP systems for business operations management
