Job summary

Siemens Energy Pakistan (Private) Limited is seeking an experienced Bid Professional to lead end-to-end tenders for high-voltage substations, coordinating engineering, procurement, finance and legal teams to prepare winning, compliant proposals.

You will analyze client tenders, define bid strategy, consolidate inputs, assess risks, and manage internal approvals while ensuring adherence to local regulations and corporate governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering with strong grid tech knowledge.
• 5-8 years in bid/proposal/tender management in substation or energy sectors.
• Proven track record managing complex infrastructure tenders for utilities/OEMs.
• Strong commercial acumen including cost estimation and pricing strategy.
• Solid understanding of risk assessment and regulatory requirements in Pakistan's energy sector.
• Excellent leadership and communication for cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.

As an experienced bid professional from the energy or transmission sector, you will lead end-to-end tenders for high-voltage substation projects that strengthen Pakistan's national grid, bringing together engineering, procurement, finance and legal experts into winning, technically sound proposals. Your work turns complex customer requirements into competitive, low-risk offers that help utilities and partners deliver reliable power, and it directly supports Siemens Energy's mission to make energy more reliable, affordable and sustainable.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead the full bid lifecycle for substation projects, from tender analysis and bid/no-bid input through to the timely submission of high-quality, compliant technical and commercial proposals.
• Analyze client tender documents, technical specifications and contractual requirements to define a winning bid strategy and a clear value proposition, working closely with Sales and Customer Relations.
• Consolidate inputs from engineering, procurement and project management into robust cost estimates and pricing models that balance competitiveness with sound margins.
• Carry out detailed technical, commercial and legal risk assessments, putting mitigation measures in place in line with Siemens Energy guidelines and managing internal approvals (Limits of Authority) with regional and global management.
• Ensure every bid complies with local tax regulations, import/export controls and corporate governance standards, protecting the company and its customers throughout the bid phase.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors and partners to secure competitive offers and clarify technical interfaces, and take part in client negotiations to secure favorable commercial and technical terms.

What You Bring

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, with a strong technical foundation in grid technologies and substation systems (AIS/GIS, protection and control, transformers).
• At least 5-8 years of experience in bid, proposal or tender management within the substation, power transmission or wider energy sector.
• A proven track record of managing complex, large-scale infrastructure tenders in Pakistan or the Middle East, ideally for utilities, EPC contractors or OEMs.
• Strong commercial acumen, including cost estimation, pricing strategy and analysis of contractual terms and conditions.
• Solid understanding of risk assessment and mitigation, as well as the regulatory and compliance requirements of Pakistan's energy sector.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to steer cross-functional teams under tight deadlines and negotiate confidently with clients and partners.
