Job summary

The role covers PdM, PM, CM, and EM, with emphasis on safety, HSE compliance, and CMMS Maximo. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with PEC registration and 5+ years in power house operations, with 12-hour shifts and strong leadership.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

As AM Power House, you will be responsible for the planning and safe execution of all maintenance activities, including preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance.

• Inspect, test, operate, and maintain electrical equipment including generators, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, motors, substations, UPS systems, batteries, lighting systems, lifts, weighbridges, reefer gantries, and distribution networks.


• Execute Predictive maintenance (PdM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), and Emergency Maintenance (EM) activities.


• Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and respond to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.


• Conduct in-house trainings, safety inspections, risk assessments, JSAs, formulation of SOPs and ensure compliance with company HSE standards and regulatory requirements.


• Monitor generator operations, perform routine equipment inspections, and maintain accurate maintenance records through CMMS (Maximo).


• Prepare maintenance, performance, and energy consumption reports.


• Identify and implement energy efficiency and system improvement initiatives.


• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, procurement, and stores to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities and spare parts availability.


• Supervise and support maintenance teams, promoting a strong safety culture, discipline, and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university with valid PEC registration. Master's degree would be added advantage.


• Minimum 5 years in power house operations and electrical maintenance


• 12 Hours rotational shift


• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.


• Proven understanding of HSE regulations and safe work practices.


• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.


• Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS/IBM Maximo.


• Hands-on experience with trouble-shooting, maintenance, electrical testing equipment, tools, and software.


• Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.


• Good communication and leadership skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and during emergencies which also includes all weather conditions as well.
