Job summary

Zong Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Center Facilities Operations professional to manage core location equipment (Power, Cooling, Environmental systems) and ensure SLA compliance for network availability across the region. You will lead maintenance planning, monitor performance, oversee vendor contracts, and drive cost efficiency while maintaining safety and reliability.

A minimum of four years’ DC operations experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical/Power/Electronics) required.
• DC certifications (CDCP/CDCS/CDFOM) are a plus.
• 4+ years in Data Center facilities operations & planning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain uninterrupted operations of core location facilities equipment per SLA and ensure 24/7 support.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and implement for continuous operations.
• Monitor DC performance metrics and optimize asset utilization and maintenance costs.
• Vendor management and SLA contract oversight, invoices verification and penalties for SLA violations.
• Review operation and reliability of assets to minimize downtime and identify cost reductions.
• Inventory management of critical spares for day-to-day emergencies.
• Prepare reports and analyses for energy cost optimization and equipment operation.
• Ensure teams are trained, equipped, and motivated to deliver safe, high-quality service.
• Audit power, cooling and environmental equipment and engage vendors for abnormalities.
• Assist Data Center planning, BOQ, drawings, budgeting, site supervision and handover.
• Support vendor evaluations, SLAs review and performance monitoring.
• Security and access management at regional core locations with gate passes and incident reporting.

Job Purpose

• Managing Operations and Maintenance of Core Locations –Data Center in the region to ensure SLA compliance of network availability for Power, Cooling and Environmental infrastructure Equipment like Genset, HVAC, Fire System, Grounding Environment, Transformer, Rectifiers, UPS and LT Panels, Switch Gear (ATS, MTS, AMF, PFI, PCP). etc. Moreover, providing necessary technical support for Planning, Design and Deployment works of Data Centers new installation activities and project. Security and Colocation Management for power and space sharing.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintaining the uninterrupted operations of Core Location facility Equipment as defined SLAs and to ensure 24/7 team availability for support of WO execution of all activities, monitoring system entities and handling CM activity
• Preparation of Preventive Maintenance Schedules along the annual plan for all Equipment and ensuring its implementation for a continuous and smooth network operations
• Monitor DC performance against agreed maintenance indicators, such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, serviceability index, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
• Vendor Management (SLM) and follow up on the implementation of the external maintenance contracts and ensuring its compliance as per the defined KPIs. Vendor invoices verification and proposing penalties for violation of SLA.
• Review the operation/performance/reliability of assets maintained constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, pro-actively anticipate problems, and ensure safe operation and identify opportunities for improvement with unit cost reduction
• Inventory management of critical spares to make sure that required spares are available in the stores to cater for day to day emergencies.
• Prepare reports, analyze data and make recommendations for energy cost analysis, improving the Equipment operation and solving maintenance related problems
• Ensure that teams are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely manner delivering high quality and cost-effective service
• Sets operation and maintenance team performance standards, evaluation and report, controls and coordinates the activities of the maintenance staff.
• Regular Complete audit of all Power, Cooling and Environmental equipment on Core Locations and timely engagement of vendor in case of any abnormality and highlights the same to management and HQ team for timely support
• Assistance for Data Center Planning, Preparation of BOQ, Drawings & budgeting planning, Installation supervision of Equipment and Renovation works. Site Commissioning & handing over coordination for network equipment deployment
• Support for vendor evaluations, selection and SLA contracts review and Execution, SLAs and Vendor performance monitoring as defined KPIs
• Security and Access Management of all regional Core locations with implementation of strict entry procedures, gate pass system, Work order monitoring, incident reporting.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): Education:

• Minimum Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical/Power/Electronics). Data Center certifications (CDCP, CDFOM, CDCS) will be an add-on

Work Experience

• Preferably, a minimum of 4 Years of experience in Data Center Facilities Operations & Planning.

Skills - Generic:

• Data Centers Certification (CDCP, CDFOM, CDCS) will be Plus
• Expert in Power, Cooling and Environmental Infrastructure operation and maintenance.
• Diversified experience with Vendor and Operator

Skills - Job Specific:

• Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication & analytical skills.
