Job summary

Liaquat National Hospital invites applications for a Network Technician role to install, configure, and deploy network devices across campus. You will support connectivity, monitor performance, and assist in cabling, patching, and rack management on site.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure, with a focus on structured cabling, device deployment, and collaborative teamwork in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Intermediate, DAE or equivalent in Computer Sciences / Information Technology.
• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in network infrastructure deployment or IT operations.
• Hands-on experience with network devices including switches, wireless routers, and access points.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and deploy network devices including switches and wireless access points.
• Perform passive network infrastructure work such as structured cabling, patching, labelling, and rack management.
• Provide network support and troubleshoot connectivity and service issues.
• Maintain network racks and cable management; monitor performance and report faults.
• Support site surveys, network expansion, and infrastructure upgrades as required.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards on site.

Job description

• Install, configure, and deploy network devices including switches, wireless routers, access points, and other related equipment.
• Perform passive network infrastructure activities, including structured cabling, patching, labelling, cable dressing, and rack management.
• Provide network support and troubleshoot connectivity, internet, and network-related issues.
• Install, maintain, and organize network racks, patch panels, fiber termination panels, and related accessories.
• Monitor network performance and report faults, outages, and service issues for timely resolution.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities on network infrastructure as assigned by senior team members.
• Support site surveys, network expansion projects, and infrastructure upgrades as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards during all field and onsite activities.
• Travel to remote locations for network installation, maintenance, support, and project implementation when required.
• Assist in inventory management of network equipment, cables, accessories, and spare parts.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the successful completion of operational and project-related tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Intermediate, DAE or equivalent in Computer Sciences / Information Technology
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in network infrastructure deployment, network support, passive networking, or related IT operations.
• Hands-on experience in network device deployment and installation, including switches, wireless routers, and access points.
• Experience with passive network infrastructure work, including structured cabling (copper/fiber), patching, labelling, and rack management.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
