Job summary

School Of Virtual Assistance (SOVA) seeks a skilled video editor and content strategist to manage its YouTube channel end-to-end. You will edit long-form content, craft thumbnails, and repurpose material into vertical formats for social platforms.

You will optimize metadata, run A/B thumbnail tests, and monitor performance to drive growth. Proficiency with Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop/Canva, and cloud storage tools is required.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in full-lifecycle YouTube channel management and content strategy as a specialist or Virtual Assistant.
• Advanced proficiency in non-linear editing tools, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• High proficiency in thumbnail creation using Adobe Photoshop or Canva, with a strong understanding of mobile feed legibility.
• Direct experience operating YouTube Studio, including metadata optimization, SRT uploads, thumbnail A/B testing, and retention graph analysis.
• Hands-on experience with cloud storage workflows (Google Drive, Dropbox) and content calendar tracking in Google Sheets, Notion, or Asana.
• Experience with audio clean-up tools (Adobe Audition, iZotope RX), motion graphics (After Effects), transcript tools (Descript), TubeBuddy/VidIQ, or Frame.io is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Edit long-form videos (8–15 min) with multi-cam assembly and color/audio finishing.
• Design two 1280×720 thumbnails and test via YouTube Studio.
• Repurpose content into 3–5 vertical Shorts, with captions for all platforms.
• Manage YouTube SEO: titles, descriptions, chapters, tags, and SRT uploads; handle uploads and comments.
• Track weekly analytics: CTR, retention, average view duration, and subscribers growth.
• Organize assets in Drive/Dropbox and create templates and SOPs.
