Job summary

School Of Virtual Assistance (SOVA) seeks a skilled YouTube editor and digital content specialist to manage long-form videos and repurpose them into Shorts across social platforms. You will optimize metadata, create thumbnails, and track performance to drive audience growth.

You will coordinate with data-driven strategies, design thumbnails, and maintain organized archives while using tools like Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Descript to deliver consistent, high-quality content.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in full-lifecycle YouTube channel management, video editing, and content strategy as a specialist or Virtual Assistant.
• Advanced proficiency in non-linear editing tools, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• High proficiency in thumbnail creation using Adobe Photoshop or Canva, with a strong understanding of visual contrast, typography, and mobile feed legibility.
• Direct experience operating YouTube Studio, including metadata optimization, SRT uploads, thumbnail A/B testing, and retention graph analysis.
• Hands-on experience with cloud storage workflows (Google Drive, Dropbox) and content calendar tracking in Google Sheets, Notion, or Asana.
• Experience with audio clean-up tools (Adobe Audition, iZotope RX), motion graphics (After Effects), transcript tools (Descript), TubeBuddy/VidIQ, or Frame.io is a strong advantage.

• Short-Form Content Repurposing: Extract, reframe to 1080×1920, and produce 3–5 vertical Shorts/Reels/TikToks with captions across platforms.
• YouTube SEO & Channel Operations: Craft click-worthy titles (<60 chars), keyword-rich descriptions, chapters, tags, and SRTs; manage uploads and comments; maintain 3-video calendar lead.
• Analytics & Performance Tracking: Generate weekly reports on CTR, retention, view duration, and subscribers to guide strategy.

• Thumbnail Design & Testing: Design high-CTR 1280×720 thumbnails optimized for mobile legibility, creating two variants per video to run A/B testing via YouTube Studio.
• Short-Form Content Repurposing: Extract, reframe (1080×1920), and produce 3–5 vertical Shorts/Reels/TikToks per long-form video complete with burned-in captions, scheduling across all social platforms.
• YouTube SEO & Channel Operations: Craft click-worthy titles (<60 chars), keyword-rich descriptions, chapter markers, tags, and SRT files while managing uploads, community comments, and maintaining a rolling 3-video calendar lead.
• Analytics & Performance Tracking: Generate weekly performance reports tracking CTR, retention drop-off points, average view duration, and subscriber growth to recommend continuous editing and strategy adjustments.
