Job summary

Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd is seeking a Workday Team Leader to drive the quality, capability, and performance of a Workday HCM engineering team. You will partner with product leaders to align priorities and strategy for the Workday platform, guiding development practices and promoting technical excellence.

You will lead a team of engineers delivering and supporting Workday HCM solutions across complex environments, focusing on design, integration, and standardized delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Workday HCM implementation, configuration, support, and optimization.
• 3+ years leading Workday HCM teams (Team Lead/Technical Lead/People Manager).
• Experience supporting Workday HCM modules: Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Learning, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Reporting, Integrations.
• Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams in a multinational or shared services environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Workday Certification desirable.
• Strong understanding of software development standards, ITSM, and Agile Scrum.
• Ability to assess and manage the impact of Workday HCM configuration changes across processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering technical excellence and delivery quality.
• Provide technical guidance on design, problem-solving, and best practices.
• Promote standards, design patterns, and tools aligned with Aurecon’s architecture.
• Oversee code quality, maintenance, performance, and robust peer review.
• Support engineers in solving complex challenges and promote scalable practices.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture for alignment with platforms and patterns.
• Ensure timely production issue resolution with root-cause analysis and fixes.
