BruntWork is seeking an experienced accounting professional for Senior US Payroll and full-cycle accounting. The role focuses on hands-on duties beyond data entry, managing core accounting tasks, payroll processing, and financial record-keeping with increasing responsibilities over time.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced accounting knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, contractor capacity as the company grows.

• Handle advanced accounting tasks and take on additional responsibilities as the business grows.

Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced, versatile accounting professional with extensive hands-on experience in Senior US Payroll, QuickBooks Desktop, and main accounting and finance functions. The ideal candidate must demonstrate advanced accounting comprehension—going well beyond basic data entry—and be capable of managing core accounting and financial tasks while taking on increasingly complex responsibilities over time.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4 hours per day, Flexible within Florida Business Hours (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounting, main finance tasks, and daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks Desktop.

• Process U.S. payroll, including deductions, taxes, and related records.

• Perform complex account and bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies with high accuracy.

• Maintain complete financial records, oversee higher-end accounting tasks, and assist with financial reporting and month-end closing processes.

• Handle complex and advanced accounting tasks and take on additional responsibilities as the business grows.

Requirements

• Must have 2 large monitors for their desktop.

• Extensive, demonstrable QuickBooks Desktop experience (top priority).

• Extensive accounting and finance experience with a solid foundation in accounting principles, practices, and higher-level accountant functions.

• Substantial hands-on U.S. payroll experience and knowledge of payroll taxes and compliance.

• High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong capability to manage higher-end accounting and financial responsibilities beyond routine data entry.
