Job summary

Sutherland is seeking a Wellness Lead to foster a culture of wellbeing and integrate holistic health into daily work life. The role spans on-site Clark, Pampanga and remote work environments, with a focus on developing and delivering preventive and supportive wellness initiatives.

The incumbent will lead programs, train managers, and engage employees through data-driven insights, ensuring accessibility of resources and promoting a healthy workplace culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or higher in clinical psychology, counseling, health psychology, or related health field.
• Experience leading wellness programs in corporate settings preferred.
• Counselling/psychotherapy qualifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative wellness programs and interventions to encourage positive lifestyle choices.
• Create awareness of wellness resources and materials for self-development.
• Set up a community of wellness champions/first aiders.
• Use data to continually evaluate program quality and effectiveness.
• Provide sessions for People leaders to support teams with wellbeing.
• Facilitate training sessions on wellness topics (resilience, stress management, nutrition, fitness, work-life balance).
• Create and administer surveys to gather employee feedback and action recommendations.
• Communicate with stakeholders about program implementation and results using data and reports.
• Collaborate with wellness partners/vendors to ensure quality and utilization.
• Undertake risk analyses and ensure regulatory compliance where applicable.

Job description

The primary role of the Wellness Lead is to foster a culture of wellbeing by designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing a comprehensive wellness program that integrates wellbeing into everyday work life and elevates the overall employee experience.

Through this program, the Wellness Lead promotes awareness of holistic wellbeing, helps employees recognize the early signs of physical and mental ill health, supports the adoption of preventive practices, and ensures employees have access to appropriate resources and support services.

Key stakeholders include people leaders and employees. The program equips managers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support the wellbeing of their teams, while encouraging employees to take personal ownership of their health and wellbeing journey. The ultimate objectives are to raise awareness, strengthen manager capability, enhance employee wellbeing, improve engagement, and contribute to a positive and healthy workplace culture.

The program adopts a holistic approach, addressing the habits, environments, relationships, and workplace factors that influence overall wellbeing across all dimensions of wellness. It considers both preventative and proactive strategies that support sustainable physical, mental, social, emotional, financial, and occupational wellbeing.

The scope of the wellness program extends across both office-based and remote working environments, ensuring equitable access to wellbeing support regardless of where employees work.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create innovative and effective wellness programs and interventions to encourage positive lifestyle choices and or make recommendations for changes in personal habits;
• Create awareness of wellness resources and materials that lead to self-development
• Set up a community of wellness champions/first aiders;
• Use data to continually evaluate the quality and effectiveness of programs;
• Provide sessions for People leaders to help them support their teams and approach the topic of wellbeing with confidence;
• Facilitate training sessions on wellness topics including but not limited to resilience and wellbeing, stress management, nutrition, weight management, physical fitness, work life balance;
• Create and administer surveys to gather data and employee feedback. Analyze the results and make recommendations for actions;
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on the wellness program, its implementation and effectiveness using data and reports;
• Collaborate with wellness partners/vendors to ensure high-quality products and services are delivered and well-utilized;
• Undertakes risk analyses and makes recommendations to for changes and ensuring regulatory compliance (wherever applicable)

Qualifications

Job qualifications:

• Graduate degree, Diploma or higher in clinical psychology, counseling, health psychology, or related health field; Or Experience leading this function
• Qualified counsellor and/or psychotherapist; and supervision qualification is a plus.
• Experience as a wellness coach in a corporate setting preferred;
• A high degree of empathy and sensitivity;
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
• Confidently talks about wellness issues;
• Can adapt counseling/coaching style to the situation;
• Possess a high degree of integrity, trusted to maintain confidentiality;
• Experience with metric management and reporting;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
