Job Description – Company Psychotherapist / Corporate Mental Health & Wellness Specialist
The Company Psychotherapist is responsible for promoting the mental, emotional, and psychological well-being of employees and members by providing professional counseling, psychotherapy, and wellness interventions. The role supports individuals in overcoming personal, emotional, and workplace challenges while fostering a healthy, productive, and supportive organizational culture. The psychotherapist also plays a key role in improving member engagement and retention by promoting overall wellness and providing continuous emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential individual counseling and psychotherapy sessions for employees and members.
- Listen actively and empathetically to client concerns, creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can openly discuss personal, emotional, and workplace challenges.
- Guide clients through difficult life experiences, emotional struggles, stress, anxiety, grief, burnout, relationship concerns, and other mental health issues by utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment or intervention plans based on each client’s needs.
- Monitor client progress through regular follow-up sessions and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
- Provide crisis intervention and psychological first aid during emergencies or critical workplace incidents.
- Promote emotional resilience, healthy coping strategies, and positive behavioral change through counseling and psychoeducation.
- Develop and implement employee and member wellness programs focused on stress management, emotional well-being, work-life balance, mindfulness, resilience, and mental health awareness.
- Support member retention by building strong therapeutic relationships, identifying concerns that may affect engagement or participation, and providing timely interventions that enhance overall satisfaction and long-term commitment.
- Collaborate with HR, club management, and department leaders to foster a psychologically safe, supportive, and inclusive workplace while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Educate employees, members, and leaders on mental health awareness, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and wellness best practices through workshops and seminars.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s Mental Health
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and ethical documentation of counseling sessions, assessments, and intervention plans in compliance with applicable laws and professional standards.
- Monitor workplace and member wellness trends, recommend improvements, and prepare periodic reports on wellness initiatives while protecting client confidentiality.
- Stay current with advances in psychotherapy, counseling techniques, mental health legislation, and professional best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology; Master's Degree is an advantage.
- Must be a Licensed Psychologist (RPsy) or Registered Psychometrician (RPm).
- At least 2–3 years of experience in psychotherapy, counseling, or corporate mental health.
- Skilled in psychological assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapy.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of mental health laws, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Experience in conducting wellness programs, seminars, and employee engagement initiatives is an advantage.
- Compassionate, professional, and able to work collaboratively with HR and management.
