Job summary

HRTX is seeking a Welding Engineer to lead the development, standardization, and documentation of welding and brazing processes for high-precision components. You will design repeatable GTAW, LBW, EBW, and furnace procedures, write WPS and qualification reports, and support shop-floor operations.

The role requires hands-on welding procedure experience, strong metallurgy knowledge, and the ability to train manufacturing operators and customers on new standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of welding engineering or metal processing experience.
• Hands-on experience developing weld procedures for GTAW, LBW, EBW, or furnace processes.
• Strong stainless-steel metallurgy knowledge.

Welding Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Welding Engineer to provide technical leadership for manufacturing operations. This role focuses on developing, writing, and standardizing joining, welding, and brazing processes for high-precision components.

Key Responsibilities

• Procedure Development: Design repeatable welding procedures using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Laser Beam Welding (LBW), Electron Beam Welding (EBW), and Brazing.

• Documentation: Write and maintain Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), weld qualification reports, and clear work instructions.

• Shop-Floor Support: Troubleshoot welding defects, analyze process efficiency, and perform quality control functions.

• Metallurgy R&D: Research and develop welding processes with a strong focus on stainless-steel metallurgy.

• Training: Provide technical guidance and training to manufacturing operators and customers.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant welding engineering or metal processing experience.

• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience developing weld procedures for GTAW, LBW, EBW, or Furnace Processes.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of stainless-steel welding metallurgy.
