Job summary

PM Consulting is seeking a Welding Engineer (Process Engineering) for an onsite role in the Philippines. The engineer will lead welding process development and write procedures to support manufacturing operations and customer-driven projects.

The role requires hands-on experience with welding methods (GTAW, LBW, EBW) and strong knowledge of stainless-steel metallurgy. A 3+ year background in welding engineering and ABET-accredited degrees is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering (ABET accredited).
Master's degree in Welding, Metallurgical or Materials Engineering (ABET accredited) preferred.
At least 3 years of welding engineering or related metal processing experience.
Experience in R&D involving welding technologies and welding metallurgy.

Responsibilities

Analyze process efficiency, troubleshoot welding defects, and drive cost savings in daily operations.
Evaluate and develop complex welding specifications per industry standards and customer needs.
Create robust welding procedures for GTAW, LBW, and brazing for high-precision parts.
Develop and maintain weld qualification reports, weld procedures, and work instructions.
Communicate technical details clearly and train operations teams and customers as needed.
