JOB DETAILS
The Web Content Publisher is responsible for building, managing, and maintaining end-to-end website content across the Apparel Brands websites. The current websites are built and maintained using HTML and CSS coding, so proficiency in both HTML and CSS is essential. The role will also support content accuracy, quality assurance, and timely website updates. Candidates with both CMS and coding experience will be highly regarded, as the business intends to transition from code-based website builds to a CMS-led publishing model in the future.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Production & Publishing
- Oversee the end-to-end online content production process, including brief creation, creative rounds, and website content builds using HTML and CSS.
- Build, update, and schedule content across the Apparel Brands websites in accordance with set go-live dates, using HTML and CSS coding as required.
- Ensure expired or outdated content is removed accurately and on time.
- Ensure all online content adheres to creative, brand, and accessibility guidelines throughout each stage of the production process.
- Work confidently across the current code-based website environment and, where applicable, use Content Management Systems (CMS) to support publishing and future platform transition requirements.
Quality Assurance & Content Verification
- Coordinate the Post Verification Testing (PVT) process and ensure any required content amendments are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Review published content for accuracy, consistency, functionality, and compliance.
- Promptly identify and resolve content errors or incidents in accordance with established escalation processes.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all website content updates.
Stakeholder & Workflow Management
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the content production and publishing process.
- Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to identify opportunities to improve website content, coding practices, CMS functionality, and production workflows.
- Manage multiple content requirements and projects simultaneously while prioritising tasks against deadlines and go-live schedules.
Role-Specific Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in eCommerce, Marketing, Digital Content, or a related field, ideally within the retail sector.
- Must be proficient in both HTML and CSS, with demonstrated hands-on experience building, editing, and maintaining website content using code.
- Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) is highly desirable. Candidates with both CMS and HTML/CSS coding experience will be favoured, supporting the planned future transition from coding to CMS-based website builds.
