About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Supervisor to join the DHL Supply Chain Phils., Inc. team in soon to open new warehouse site in Bunawan Davao City. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics and supply chain facilities. As Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing teams, and maintaining the high standards of service that our clients expect from DHL. This role is integral to our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse and logistics staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols
• Monitor warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping of goods
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Manage and track inventory levels, organising stock rotation and maintaining accurate records
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs
• Maintain and enforce workplace health and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and audits
• Train, mentor and develop team members, providing constructive feedback and performance management
• Communicate effectively with management, other departments and clients to resolve issues and meet operational targets
• Prepare reports on operational performance, incidents and key metrics for senior management
• Ensure quality control standards are met for all warehouse operations and deliverables

What we're looking for

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics operations
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop team members
• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise across all levels of the organisation
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accuracy in record-keeping and reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with logistics software systems
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing operational demands
• Professional certification in logistics, supply chain management or a related field is preferred
