Job summary

Wonolo is hiring a Payroll Specialist (W2) to join the Legal Operations team, supporting weekly W2 payroll processing. This remote role in the Philippines emphasizes accuracy, data integrity, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure timely payroll for Wonoloers.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with AI tools, working with internal systems including Zeal, Wonolo Wizard, and Hypertrack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with cash management and reconciliations.
• Analytical mind with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on W2 payroll and Wonoloer processes.
• Ensure data accuracy when onboarding workers into payroll system.
• Validate payroll hours and reconcile time for weekly W2 payroll every Wednesday.
• Process bonuses, sick leave, and payroll-related adjustments.
• Collaborate with Tech, Finance, and Ops to improve efficiency and SLAs.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and ensure accurate information.
