Job summary

PHILGUARANTEE seeks an experienced department head to oversee strategic direction, risk management, and service delivery. You will plan and coordinate department tasks with other units and government and private entities, guiding credit analysis, policy development, and product innovations.

You will lead performance reviews, coach staff, and ensure targets are met while driving continuous process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the job; master's degree preferred.
• Certificate in Leadership and Management from CSC is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, controls and manages the execution of all tasks in the Department in a totally coordinated effort with other PHILGUARANTEE units as well as with concerned government and private entities.
• Provides strategies and general management of the various functions of the Department.
• Manages the conduct of credit analysis, credit appraisal and credit investigation as required by the Corporation.
• Establishes linkages with teams, partners, or other stakeholders across government and relevant sectors.
• Conceptualizes and manages the development/innovation of products/services of the Department.
• Recommends and reviews policies and strategies for the improvement of internal processes and services to clients.
• Reviews and/or signs documents, correspondence/communications, vouchers, reports, and other papers relative to the management and delivery of required services from the Department.
• Ensures the accomplishment of targets through a periodic assessment of the performance of the staff and a review of departmental plans and targets.
• Recommends developmental interventions and conducts coaching, if necessary, to correct, sustain, or enhance performance.
• Performs other related functions as may be assigned from time to time.
