Qualifications

• Prior experience in cargo securing, vehicle lashing, stevedoring, or container packing.
• Physically fit; able to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces.
• Familiarity with lashing gear, load distribution, and securing methods for wheeled vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail; safety-focused and methodical.

Responsibilities

• Load, position, and secure vehicles inside shipping containers following safety standards.
• Inspect and use lashing equipment to keep vehicles immobile during transit.
• Perform pre-loading and post-lashing checks for damage and proper tensioning.
• Follow packing plans to maximize container space while maintaining weight limits.
• Maintain lashing tools and report damaged equipment immediately.
• Adhere to WSH requirements; wear PPE and work safely at ground level and loading zones.
• Assist with container prep, door sealing, and pre-shipment photos as needed.

About the role

Load, position, and secure vehicles inside shipping containers in full compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. Inspect and use lashing equipment - straps, chains, wheel chocks, dunnage, and fixing points - to ensure vehicles remain immobile during transit.

Conduct pre-loading and post-lashing checks: verify no damage to vehicles, confirm all restraints are tensioned correctly, and document condition

Follow packing plans to maximize container space while maintaining safe load distribution and weight limits

Maintain lashing tools and report any damaged or worn equipment immediately

Adhere to WSH / workplace safety requirements at all times; wear proper PPE and work safely at ground level and around loading zones

Assist with container preparation, door sealing, and pre-shipment photos as required

About you
