Job summary

GJH SERCONS, INC. is seeking a diligent forklift operator to move materials, containers, and ISO tanks safely within the warehouse. You will follow safety SOPs, perform daily checks, and support loading and unloading activities per the schedule.

Ideal candidates have strong attention to safety, the ability to report defects promptly, and keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate forklifts for safe movement of materials and containers.
• Conduct daily inspection and report issues to supervisor.
• Load/unload trucks and ISO tanks as required.
• Position materials in designated storage areas per SOPs.
• Ensure proper labeling and housekeeping in the work area.
• Use PPE and follow health and safety rules on every shift.
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.

About the role

This role involves monitoring and operating forklifts for the safe and efficient movement of materials, products, containers, drums, IBCs, and other warehouse items. You will ensure safe and proper operation of forklifts in accordance with company safety procedures, conduct daily inspections, and manage the loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing trucks and ISO tanks.

Key responsibilities

• Monitors and operates forklifts for the safe and efficient movement of materials, products, containers, drums, IBCs, and other warehouse items


• Conducts daily inspection and basic checks of the forklift before operation and reports any defects, damage, or safety concerns to the immediate supervisor


• Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing trucks and ISO tanks using the forklift, as required


• Transfers and positions materials such as IBCs, drums, carboys, tanks, and other containers in their designated storage areas


• Loads products into ISO tanks, IBCs, drums, and other designated containers based on the schedule or instructions provided by the Logistics Assistant


• Ensures that materials and containers are properly positioned, stacked, and arranged according to company standards and applicable SOPs


• Ensures proper handling of materials to prevent damage, spillage, or contamination during loading, unloading, and transfer activities


• Checks and ensures that drums, IBCs, and other containers are properly labeled and have the required stickers before storage or delivery


• Maintains cleanliness and proper housekeeping within the assigned work area and ensures the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


• Immediately reports unsafe conditions, incidents, equipment defects, and other safety concerns to the immediate supervisor
