Role Description

The Unit Head role at Manulife Philippines is a full-time position based in Makati with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and work-from-home days. The Unit Head is responsible for leading, coaching, and managing a team to achieve sales, service, and operational targets in line with company goals and regulatory requirements. Daily activities include overseeing business development initiatives, monitoring performance metrics, guiding team members on customer engagement, and ensuring adherence to compliance and risk management standards. The role also involves coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, preparing regular reports on unit performance, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The Unit Head is expected to model Manulife’s values, support a diverse and inclusive culture, and drive continuous professional development within the unit.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, people management, and team coaching skills, with experience driving performance in a sales or financial services environment.
• Proficiency in business development, sales planning, and customer relationship management within insurance, banking, or related industries.
• Solid understanding of financial products, insurance concepts, and basic investment and wealth management principles.
• Ability to analyze performance data, prepare reports, and use metrics to inform decision-making and process improvement.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Demonstrated commitment to compliance, risk management, and adherence to regulatory and company policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in leading hybrid teams and comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and remote collaboration platforms.
