Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a UX/UI Designer to join our hybrid team in Manila. You will apply user-centered design to create quality digital experiences, translate requirements into wireframes, UI designs, and interactive prototypes, and support storytelling with visuals.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and design teammates to iterate designs based on feedback, testing results, and constraints, ensuring accessible, usable interfaces across mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of dedicated UX/UI design experience working on digital products or platforms
• Experience designing interfaces for mobile, tablet, and desktop environments
• Practical experience with user-centered design processes, usability testing, and accessibility best practices
• Proficiency in creating wireframes, UI designs, and prototypes using tools such as Figma
• Exposure to working with or contributing to design systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, business, and design teammates
• Good understanding of human-centered design principles and how to apply them in delivery work
• Willingness to share knowledge, learn from others, and grow design capability within the team
• Openness to feedback and continuous improvement
• Demonstrable skills in illustration, iconography, or visual communication are an advantage
• Basic familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3 is a plus

Communication:

• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain design ideas and rationale to team members and stakeholders
• Good command of spoken and written English
