Job summary

V.Group in Manila is seeking an experienced Travel Booking Agent to join our GMT team and support domestic and international air, sea, and corporate travel for internal and external clients.

You will use Amadeus for tickets, bring strong routing knowledge, excellent English, and robust customer service skills, while staying organized under pressure and collaborating with the accounting and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Amadeus booking and ticketing proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and concurrent training on GMT booking and ticketing processes.
• Talk to clients by phone, email, or live support.
• Book tickets per client requests following contractual guidelines.
• Manage airline crisis incidents and report to supervisor and client.
• Collect payments and process credit card transactions as needed.
• Issue tickets and coordinate with Accounting on discrepancies.
• Provide lead support when needed for reservations and customer base.

Overall Purpose of The Job

This position is responsible for booking domestic and international commercial marine, private yachts and corporate travel arrangements for internal and external GMT clients. To be part of a global booking team and to support the sales and revenue targets set by GMT.

This position is also responsible for the coaching and supervision of the Travel Consultants booking domestic and international air/sea, commercial marine and corporate travel arrangements for internal and external GMT clients primarily when Mgr. and Asst. Mgr are not on duty.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

Principal Accountabilities

• Successful completion of initial training program as well as concurrent training relating to adherence to GMT booking and ticketing processes including all internal and governmental policies and procedures. Responsiveness to coaching and feedback from Supervisors as it relates to booking practices.
• Talking to clients either by phone, email or live web support
• Booking tickets as per client requests according to contractual/negotiated guidelines using net airfares and following the instructions for Quality Control and Training Consultant Standards.
• Acts on crisis management for untoward incidences pertaining to airline booking and reports this promptly and formally to his/her superior and to client concerned for the corrective actions.
• Collect payments and processing credit card transactions, as needed
• Issuing tickets, as needed
• Work with Accounting department to solve any errors, questions, debit memos, etc.
• Assist team as lead when needed regarding reservations and customer base

Performance Measures

• Performance against agreed sales related financial budgets/targets
• Performance against agreed Quality assurance accuracy measures
• Customers feedback from internal and external clients
• Annual evaluations from Supervisors

Essential

• Proficient in Amadeus booking and ticketing to provide air, hotel and car bookings
• Strong international routing knowledge and well versed in world geography
• Minimum 3 years experience in the maritime industry (cruise or airline)
• Experienced in working with Corporate, VIP and Executive Travel
• Excellent English written/verbal communication skills and proficient in Outlook
• Strong customer service skills with excellent phone manner
• Able to work well under pressure, well organized, able to prioritize, detail oriented and perform multiple tasks
