We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Operations (Corporate Travel) to lead a team of Corporate Travel Consultants handling complex travel arrangements for global business travelers. This role is ideal for a people-focused leader with extensive Corporate Travel experience, strong GDS expertise, and a proven track record of driving operational performance and client satisfaction.
As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee daily operations, coach and develop your team, manage escalations, and ensure service delivery meets all client KPIs and SLAs.
Manage the day-to-day operations of a Corporate Travel team.
Lead and develop a team handling complex domestic and international corporate travel bookings.
Act as the team's ticketing Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide guidance on complex GDS transactions.
Ensure achievement of operational KPIs, SLAs, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
Handle client and travel-related escalations efficiently.
Conduct coaching sessions, performance reviews, and team meetings.
Lead conference calls with internal and client stakeholders.
Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Drive continuous process improvement and employee engagement initiatives.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing a Corporate Travel team.
Recent or current Corporate Travel account experience is required.
Hands-on experience with Cryptic or Native GDS is required.
Strong knowledge of ticketing, reissues, exchanges, refunds, and complex international itineraries.
Experience leading teams handling Level 2 or complex travel transactions.
Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and dashboard creation.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
Able to work in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.
