Job summary

SPX Express in Manila is seeking a Logistics Planner to oversee truck deployment, route dispatching and monitoring, ensuring on-time execution. You will coordinate with dispatchers, drivers and other stakeholders to optimize route assignments, monitor whereabouts, and generate performance reports.

The role requires a degree in Logistics/SCM/Business Admin and hands-on experience in transportation logistics; proficiency with Google Sheets, Google Suites and logistics software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in transportation logistics; linehaul operations a plus.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and plan effectively.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with internal teams, truckers, and drivers.
• Proficiency in using Google Sheets and Google Suites
• Proficiency in using logistics software and real-time tracking tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and dispatch trucks, monitor routes.
• Manage truck schedule, callouts and execution.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers and stakeholders for route assignments.
• Monitor truck whereabouts on scheduled routes.
• Create optimized route schedules considering distance, time and requirements.
• Run simulations and models for productivity improvements.
• Generate reports and drive performance improvements.
• Support cost-efficient projects for SPX.
• Review truck attendance weekly and monthly.
• Perform duties assigned by reporting manager.
