Responsibilities

• Design and develop training programmes for multiple organisational levels in insurance and superannuation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer to join Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. in our Makati City office. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in developing the capabilities and expertise of our workforce across the insurance and superannuation sector. As a Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee performance, compliance knowledge, and professional development. Your work will directly contribute to the organisation's success by ensuring our team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver exceptional service to our clients and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop comprehensive training programmes tailored to various organisational levels and departments within the insurance and superannuation industry
• Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions using diverse methodologies, including classroom instruction, online platforms, and hands-on workshops
• Assess training needs through consultation with department heads and managers to identify skills gaps and development opportunities
• Create training materials, documentation, and resources including presentation slides, participant manuals, and assessment tools
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring support to employees to reinforce learning and encourage continuous improvement
• Stay current with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices relevant to insurance and superannuation
• Maintain detailed training records and generate reports on training activities and outcomes
• Collaborate with human resources and management to align training initiatives with organisational objectives and strategic goals

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Trainer, Instructional Designer, or similar role within the insurance, financial services, or superannuation industry
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, services, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the Philippine market
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt communication styles
• Demonstrated proficiency in designing and delivering effective training programs for various learning levels
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and digital training platforms
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
• Certification in training and development, instructional design, or a related field (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, business, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with training software and tools
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees at all levels
• Ability to work independently and take initiative whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
