We are looking for a Technical Trainer – Insurance to join our Global Learning and Development team and take a key role in preparing new hires to become confident, accurate, and floor-ready professionals supporting U.S. Insurance clients.
You will be responsible for delivering insurance-specific onboarding and refresher training, conducting training needs analysis, facilitating learner-centered sessions, administering knowledge checks and simulations, and monitoring trainee progress.
Beyond simply delivering training, you will be expected to identify knowledge gaps, provide meaningful coaching, maintain training reports, enforce proper process workflows, and collaborate with leadership to improve training programs and materials.
The ideal candidate is an engaging facilitator who understands adult learning principles and can translate complex processes into practical, easy-to-understand lessons.
This is an onsite/in-office position in the Philippines, and the role requires availability to work U.S. Business Hours to align with U.S.-based clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Conduct comprehensive onboarding and process-specific training for the U.S. Insurance vertical.
- Perform Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify learner knowledge gaps.
- Facilitate engaging, learner-centered training sessions using appropriate instructional techniques.
- Adapt training delivery based on different adult learning styles and trainee needs.
- Deliver refresher training and targeted coaching when knowledge gaps are identified.
- Reinforce correct insurance processes, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Ensure trainees understand the importance of data integrity and proper handling of information in training environments.
Trainee Management & Performance Monitoring
- Conduct knowledge checks, simulations, and practical assessments to measure trainee proficiency.
- Monitor trainee attendance, engagement, participation, and classroom behavior.
- Track learner milestones and progress toward floor readiness.
- Provide coaching and feedback to trainees based on assessment and classroom performance.
- Identify trainees who require additional support and implement appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate classroom and training documentation.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare and distribute training reports covering attendance, assessment scores, learner progress, and floor-readiness status.
- Communicate trainee performance and potential concerns to leadership.
- Relay recurring learner challenges and operational feedback to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Operations and Learning & Development teams to support successful trainee deployment.
- Identify gaps, outdated information, or inconsistencies in training materials.
- Recommend improvements to training content, delivery methods, and learning activities.
- Support post-training analysis by monitoring the initial live performance of trainees.
- Use trainee and operational performance data to improve knowledge retention and speed-to-proficiency.
- Ensure globally approved learning pathways are properly implemented.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of Learning & Development experience, particularly in training facilitation and content development.
- Experience in a BPO, shared services, or other high-performance environment.
- Experience developing, facilitating, and implementing learning programs.
- Experience supporting U.S. Insurance clients is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with instructional methodologies such as:
- ADDIE
- SAM Model
- Gagné's 9 Events of Instruction
- Bloom's Taxonomy
- Strong classroom facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience creating training materials and presentations.
- Experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Loom, CapCut, Google Vids, Google Classroom, or other LMS platforms.
- Experience with U.S. Insurance systems such as Applied Epic/TAM, AMS360, Sagitta, HawkSoft, NowCerts, EZLynx, AgencyZoom, RingCentral, or similar platforms is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be comfortable working U.S. Business Hours to support U.S.-based clients and operations.
- This is an onsite/in-office position in the Philippines.
Training & Work Setup
Training and onboarding for the role will be conducted onsite/in the office, with the expectation that the trainer can effectively manage classroom-based learning, assessments, and trainee engagement.
