Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Trade Operations professional in Manila to manage end-to-end trade lifecycle activities and related cash management tasks. The role emphasizes knowledge-based work with potential manual processes and requires cross-functional coordination with Advisors and global teams.

The ideal candidate has a 4+ year background in investments or securities, strong MS Office skills, and excellent English communication; a Bachelors degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in Investment/Wealth or Securities.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Mainframe and/or form-based applications; BPO/shared services exposure is a plus.
• LOMA/Canadian Securities Certification or CFSI preferred; Lean/Six Sigma (certifications) welcomed.
• Excellent communication skills in English; strong analytical, research and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operations for Trade lifecycle, cash management, reconciliation, corporate actions, communications and credit functions.
• Communicate, investigate, and resolve trade and cash queries raised by Advisors, Call Centre and stakeholders.
• Actively manage risks related to trades and cash to avoid losses.
• Improve processes and controls to mitigate operational risks.
• Communicate production updates and challenges to Management timely.
• Drive process improvements and collaborate with technology partners for data enhancements.
• Assist on projects by researching needs and developing/implementing solutions.
• Stay current with securities/investment industry developments impacting portfolios and custodial service providers.
